About Us

The Village Sign Society was founded in 1999. Its aims are:

~ promoting the enjoyment and appreciation of village signs in Great Britain

~ recording for posterity all known village signs, past and present

~ giving advice to individuals or organisations wishing to set up a village sign

~ giving information to anyone enquiring about village signs
