New Village signs......

Village signs are emblems depicting the heritage, history and culture of the villages they represent.

National celebrations such as the Millennium and The Queen's Silver, Gold and Diamond Jubilees provided a reason for village communities to mark these events by erecting a new village sign.

Each village sign is unique, usually produced as a result of community efforts and are placed

on a prominent site in the village. Believed to have been originated by Edward VII for villages around Sandringham, there are now over four thousand village signs in Britain.
